SE Hosts NWOSU For Homecoming on Saturday

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern returns home on Sept. 23 looking to celebrate its Homecoming with a victory when it hosts Northwestern Oklahoma State at 6 p.m. on Paul Laird Field.
 
Southeastern fans can listen live via the Southeastern Sports Network on GoSoutheastern.com/SESportsNet or across the largest DII radio network in the area with Jay Lindly and Rob Johnson on the call. Local fans can pick up the game on 96.1 FM, while fans across southeastern Oklahoma and north Texas can pick up the games on 94.7 FM in Valliant, Okla., 97.7 in Ardmore, Okla., 99.5 in Rattan, Okla., 102.1 in Atoka, Okla., and 107.5 in Atoka.
 
The Savage Storm come into the matchup at 0-3 and look to get into the win column after a slow start.
 
The offense has been led by Bryce fields who has 544 yards passing with five touchdowns while adding a team-high 71 yards rushing.
 
Kaleb Whitley has become his top target with 188 yards on eight catches, while Hunter Hawthorne has hauled in a team-best 10 receptions for 149 yards. Hawthorne, Whitley, Gyasi Smith, Marquis Gray, and Matthew Nunez each have a receiving touchdown.
 
The ground game has been slow to pick up steam, with Nate Omayebu leading the team I carries with 30 and has one rushing score.
 
Tyveon Williams leads the defense with 219 total tackles, with Michael Hookfin and Braeden Winters right behind with 17 apiece.
 
Winters and Kevin Simes lead the team with three tackles for loss each, with all three of Simes coming as sacks.
 
Hookfin, Winters, and Cameron Tate have two pass breakups each.
 
The Rangers enter the weekend 0-3 on the year, with a pair of home losses.
 
NWOSU is led on offense by Darian Gill who has 246 yards rushing and a touchdown on 49 carries on the season.
 
Ethan Everson has triggered the passing attack with 343 yards and two touchdowns while completing 55.8 percent of his passes, with Travis Romar serving as his primary receiver with 14 catches for 200 yards and a score.
 
Wilson Cal leads the defense with 26 tackles on the season, while Carvelle Jamison and Antione Martin have 21 each.
