DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern athletics will see history made on Sept. 5-6 when women's golf will take to the course for its first-ever tournament at the Central Region Preview in Blue Springs, Mo. At the Adams Point GC.

The 36-hole event will have an 18-hole round on Tuesday and another on Wednesday and is hosted by Southwestern Oklahoma State.

The Savage Storm entered the 2023-24 season picked to finish 10
th in the Great American Conference preseason poll.

SE welcomes seven athletes in its first women's golf team in school history, with three transfers and four freshmen.

Lucy Handley is the most experienced player to join the team, making the move to the Savage Storm after earning all-academic honors at Redlands CC.

Jayli Feeley and
Hailey Richard also bring collegiate experience after spending their freshman campaigns at Bethany College and Central Methodist, respectively.

Carley Button,
Hanna Fisch,
Karen Kim, and
Hope Walthall all come to Durant, Okla., as true freshmen.
