ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – In the final meet of the season, Southeastern Oklahoma State claims a second-place finish at the Tiger Invitational with three individual Top 10 placements.
Ouachita Baptist won the event with a team score of 24 points, with Southeastern right on the heels in second place, garnering 34 points. The Savage Storm finished just ahead of Southern Arkansas in third place with 91 points, with Henderson State (5th) and Arkansas-Monticello (6th) earning 108 and 139 points, respectively, to round out the GAC finishers.
Anjelika Abraham paced the SE lineup, clocking an 18:56.40 on the day to secure a third-place finish at the 5K event. Joining Abraham in the Top 10,
Ashlen Clem (5
th) posted at 19:04.32 and
Alexis Longoria earned a seventh-place finish with a time of 19:09.64.
Rayla Castillo crossed the line just outside the Top 10 in 11
th place after crossing the line at 19:34.48.
Genevi Martinez and
Arden Kesterson finished back-to-back, with Martinez seeing a 19:39.96 in 13
th, while Kesterson placed 14
th at 19:43.96.
Calibre Keene rounded out the Top 20 placements for the Savage Storm with a time of 20:13.88 to earn a 19
th-place finish.
Next to finish for the Storm were
Sarah Coblentz (33
rd) and
Devyn Doakes (38
th), who recorded times of 20:48.60 and 21:05.51, respectively.
Cassandra Vargas placed 40
th at 21:11.61, and
Savannah Sandoval would finish on the heels of Vargas with a time of 21:38.47 in 43
rd.
Andrea Lopez was next to cross the line for Southeastern, finishing 47
th at 22:17.61.
Southeastern will now turn its attention to the Great American Conference Championship Meet on Saturday, Oct. 26 in Ada, Okla.
