BROKEN ARROW, Okla. – In its final fall regular season tournament, the Southeastern Oklahoma State women's golf team places 16
th at the Tulsa Cup with a three-round score of 130-over 990. The Savage Storm entered the final round at 91-over 667 through the first day.
Tournament hosts Rogers State won the 54-hole event with a score of 49-over 913, having posted the best team round on day one, shooting 6-over for the first round. Harding took second place at 71-over 935, and Missouri Southern finished third after climbing four spots on the leaderboard with a score of 75-over 939. Arkansas Tech (4
th) and Missouri Western (5
th) rounded out the Top 5 at 78-over 942 and 79-over 943, respectively.
After shooting 15-over 159 for the first day,
Carley Button (T36
th) turned in an 8-over 80 in round three to finish with a 54-hole score of 23-over 239. Button carded the best individual round for the Storm of the tournament on the first day in round two, shooting 5-over 77, and also recorded the team's only eagle for the event in the first round on the Par 5 hole 18.
Karen Kim entered the final day 20-over 164 and matched her second-round score on the last day, shooting 11-over 83. The Richardson, Texas native moved up two spots on the individual leaderboard in the final round to place 53
rd at 31-over 247.
Hailey Richard shot 10-over 82 in the third round to finish the two-day event 35-over 251 after carding a 23-over 167 across the first two rounds. Richard saw the second-biggest jump by an SE player on the leaderboard, moving up eight spots to finish in 67
th place.
Lucy Handley (T85
th) started the day at 36-over 180 through 36 holes and would shoot 10-over 82 in the third round to finish with a 54-hole score of 46-over 262.
Hope Walthall shot 32-over 176 across the first two rounds and would see a 19-over 91 in the third to finish 92
nd with a score of 51-over 267.
Southeastern will break for the winter and return to action at the start of the new year to begin the second half of its 2024-25 season.
