DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern is set to close out the 2024 season on Nov. 16 when it makes the 65-mile trek north to take on longtime rival East Central in the 107
th meeting of the Great American Classic at 2 p.m. in Ada, Okla.

SE leads the all-time series with East Central by a 51-49-6 mark, and the 106 meeting makes the series the second longest gridiron series in the state behind Bedlam, the most-played series in the Great American Conference, and one of the five-longest series in all of Division II.

The Savage Storm enter the rivalry matchup with a 5-5 record on the season, looking to end with a winning record for the eighth time in the past 10 seasons.

SE has relied heavily on its rushing attack and its defense over the second half of the season, with the offense putting up 172.9 yards per game on the ground which ranks fourth in the league.

DJ brown has paced that attack with 731 yards on the ground and three touchdowns, while
Donovan Shannon has 298 yards and two touchdowns on 46 carries. Jonathan Cobb leads the team in rushing TD's with four while adding 263 yards on 70 carries.

SE has put up 177.9 yards per game through the air which also ranks fourth in the league, with
Cergio Perez leading the way with 1,171 yards and six touchdowns.

Kobe Jennings has been the top target on the year with 30 catches for 518 yards and five touchdowns.

The Storm defense has held opponents to 21.7 ppg and 307.0 yards per game which ranks fifth and sixth in the league, respectively.

That group is led by
Braeden Winters who has tallied 72 tackles on the year with eight tackles for loss and three sacks.

Tyveon Williams is next in line with 61 stops, while William Wallis has logged 55.

In the secondary,
Michael Hookfin has picked off four passes and added nine pass breakups, while
Kole McKnight has broken up seven passes.

Dylan Sebock has paced the pass rush with 4.5 sacks and a total of 9.5 tackles for loss.

The Tigers enter the weekend with a 4-6 record and are putting up 17.3 ppg and 264.6 yards per game of total offense, both of which ranks ninth in the GAC.
