Ruthie Forson,
Faith Kruebbe and
Michera Moffett earn 2024 College Sports Communications (CSC) Academic All-District Team honors. Additionally, Forson is an Academic All-American finalist, which will be announced in January.
The CSC recognizes the nation's top student-athletes across NCAA Divisions I, II and III and NAIA for their efforts on the court and in the classroom. To receive these honors, athletes must have held a 3.50 GPA for the fall semester and featured in 90 percent of the team's games or start 60 percent.
Forson has been a member of the Savage Storm program for five seasons, and led the team in assists (1015), and ranked second in kills (262) and third in digs (308) this year. The Denton, Texas native racked up a handful of awards this season after being named GAC Setter of the Year, First Team All-GAC, and AVCA National Player of the Week honors. Forson is working towards her master's degree in Sports Administration – Leadership and will serve as the volleyball graduate assistant coach next year.
Kruebbe featured in all 29 matches for SE this season, playing in 98 sets. The junior from Carthage, Texas, finished the year with 144 kills, 209 digs and 26.0 total blocks. Kruebbe is working towards her degree in Psychology and is minoring in Health and Physical Education.
Moffett ranked 10
th in the GAC in blocks with a team-high 97.0 total blocks and averaged 0.84 per set while chipping in 166 kills, 13 service aces and 78 digs. Moffett has been a member of the Storm program for three seasons and is studying to receive her degree in Studio Art.
