Larissa Giraldi Correa has been named the Great American Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week following her efforts in leading the Savage Storm to a 3-0 record last week.

SE picked up a pair of wins over GAC foes, including a 4-3 win over No. 11 Southern Arkansas.

That was followed by wins over Ouachita Baptist and Fort Hays State, stretching the current winning streak to seven matches.

Correa partnered with
Jou Chen Chen to pick up a win over SAU's number two doubles duo, taking the match 6-2, before adding a 6-7, 6-4, 6-2 win in singles play over Amelie Gindl at the number three position.

The duo of Correa and Chen would again pick up a win, this time toping OBU's number two duo 6-3, before Correa moved on to take out Natalia Zamora in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4 ion the three spot.

The pair would add a third-straight win on the week with a 6-1 win at number two versus FHSU, with Correa downing the Tigers' number three player 6-2, 6-3.
