DURANT, Okla. –
Vanessa Nitu helped lead Southeastern women's tennis to a 4-0 record last week by going undefeated and has been named the Great American Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week for her efforts.

Her performance helped the Savage Storm to wins over Missouri-St. Louis, Oklahoma Wesleyan, Western New Mexico, and Weatherford College, lifting SE to 11-4 overall on the season.

She would post a 3-0 record in singles play, all at the number one position, earning straight-set wins over Oklahoma Wesleyan and UMSL.

She would partner with
Chiara Matteodo to pick up a doubles win at one doubles versus OKWU.

Nitu and SE open conference play on Wednesday afternoon versus Southern Arkansas and will be back at home again in GAC play versus Ouachita Baptist on April 5 at 2 p.m.
