DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern remains unbeaten in the GAC after a 4-3 win at home over Henderson State and extends its win streak to seven matches. With the win, SE clinched a share of the 2026 GAC Regular-Season Championship for the first time since 2024.
The Savage Storm trailed 1-0 after the Reddies swept all three matches during doubles play. SE wasted no time tying the match, behind a 6-1, 6-1 win at line six by
Sreevally Medishetti to open the singles round.
Lilly Shepherd quickly followed with a win to give the blue and gold a 2-1 lead, defeating HSU's Jordan Parker 6-1 and 7-5 at No. 5.
SE's advantage grew to 3-1, as
Amishi Shukla delivered the third straight-sets win for the Storm in the match in a win at Court 3 by scores of 6-2, 6-3. However, the Reddies rattled off back-to-back victories at spots four and three to tie the match 3-all.
The decisive point came down to Court 1, where
Milana Voloshyn and HSU's Kristian Kozlova were locked in a three-set battle. Voloshyn opened with a 6-3 set-one win, but fell behind 3-6 in the second and trailed 4-2 in the third before rallying to tie it 6-6. In the tie-breaker point, Voloshyn kept the momentum to secure a 7-5 win and a 7-6 set-three victory to clinch the winning point, 4-3.
