DURANT, Okla. – Following his effort in Southeastern's 29-10 win over Oklahoma Baptist over the weekend, kicker
Dylan Cox has been named the Great American Conference Special Teams Player of the Week.

Cox, a sophomore from Alvarado, Texas, connected on all five kicks he attempted on the evening, going 2-or-2 on field goals and 3-of-3 on point after tries.

He would hit field goals from 22 and 44 yards, with his 44-yard connection marking a career-best and the third longest field goal in the GAC so far this season.

He improves to 4-of-4 on the season on field goals and is 9-of-9 on PAT through three games.

Cox and Southeastern will be back in action Sept. 28 when they travel to Alva, Okla., to take on Northwestern Oklahoma State at 6 p.m.
