NORMAN, Okla. –
Samantha Wallis won both of her events and
Mildred Medina set a school record while winning the high jump on Friday afternoon to pace Southeastern to six total event titles and 44 top-10 finishes at the JD Martin Invitational hosted by the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Okla.

Wallis kicked off the day in style as she tossed a personal best 16.20 meters in the weight throw to win the open division of the event. It was her second event title of the year, and her toss is the third-best weight throw in school history.

She was joined by four others in the top 10, three of them also tossing personal bests.
Â
Chanelle Chandler was third with a PR throw of 13.74 meters, while her sister
Chanesse Chandler finished sixth with a personal best mark of 13.22 meters.

Kaitlyn Ervin finished just behind her in seventh with her best throw of the season going 13.07 meters, while
Emma Berry rounded out the top-10 in 10
th on a throw of 12.20 meters.

Wallis would provide an encore in the shot put as she broke out a personal best throw of 12.96 meters to win the event.

She led a plethora of SE throwers as
Chanesse Chandler was second with a toss of 11.62 meters while
Chanelle Chandler checked in third on a throw of 10.73 meters.

Khareah Horton would turn in a sixth-place finish with a throw of 10.18 meters, while
Mariana Mendez was eighth at 8983 meters and Ervin checked in 10
th at 9.58 meters.

Medina would pick up an event title of her own on her way to setting a school record in the high jump, clearing 1.51 meters, while
Caliyah Graham posted a third-place showing after clearing 1.35 meters.

Andria Williams would pick up her first event title of the season with her effort in the 400 meters, clocking a 1:02.04 to win the event, while La'Najah Ticey was second with a 1:02.57, and
Ashton Carter crossed in third with a mark of 1:03.01.

Camaella Achuo posted a run of 1:03.81 to finish fifth, while
Inayah Caldera finished eighth with a time of 1:04.5 and
Ayanna Liggens followed her in with a time of 1:04.75 in ninth.

Southeastern was even more dominant in the 800 meter run where
Madison Rowe won the event with a time of 2:23.06 to lead the Storm on their way to sweeping the top seven spots.

Katlen Clem crossed in second with a time of 2:27.66, with
Ashlynn Pitts in third at 2:27.90.

Kaitlyn Cedillo finished fourth with a run of 2:28.92, followed by
Tailyn Higginbotham in fifth at 2:29.24,
Andrea Lopez in sixth at 2:33.36, and
Alexis Longoria in seventh at 2:33.52.

Anjelica Abraham also picked up her first event title of the year, turning in a time of 11:26.41 in the 3,000 meters to win the race.

She was joined in the top 10 by
Devyn Doakes in third with a mark of 11:30.83, Calibre Keen in fourth with a time of 11:35.90, and
Sarah Coblentz in fifth with a run of 11:51.92.

Ashlen Clem turned in her best mile run of the season to lead Southeastern in the event, posting a second-place finish with a time of 5:32.39, with her sister
Katlen Clem on her heels in third with a mark of 5:33.04.

The pair was followed in fourth by teammate Longoria who clocked a time of 5:40.18.

The Storm featured three other top-10 finishes in the event, with Calibre Keen in seventh with a time of 5:48.52,
Devyn Doakes in eighth at 5:51.00, and
Rayla Castillo in ninth with a run of 5:52.30.

Jaiden Leighton paced Southeastern in the 200 meters, finishing second on the day with a time of 27.00, followed by Achuo in third with a run of 27.16, Williams in fourth at 27.35, and Carter in fifth with 27.42.

Leighton would add another top-10 finish in the 60 meters where she clocked a time of 8.10 to finish fourth in the finals, while
Jayla Marks turned in an 8.35 to finish seventh.

Marks turned in a season best leap in the long jump, becoming just the second SE jumper to surpass the 5-meter mark, posting a fourth-place finish on Friday with a jump of 5.03 meters.

Aissata Kantara posted a sixth-place finish with a jump of 4.54 meters, followed by
Kelsey Sawyer in seventh with a 4.41-meter leap.
