PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas –
Madison Rowe turned in a win in the 400-meter hurdles with an NCAA Qualifying mark to pace a busy Friday at the PV Relays as the Savage Storm logged three event wins, three school records, and 25 top 10 finishes in Prairie View, Texas.
Rowe logged an event title and posted an NCAA Qualifying mark of 1:01.10 in the 400-meter hurdles, matching the seventh-best time in the event in the nation at this point in the season.
Calibre Keene added a win in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a run of 12:10.11, while
Genevi Martinez was in second in a time of 13:10.46.
Kaitlyn Ervin recorded a win in the hammer throw as she tossed 49.13 meters to win the event, while
Emma Berry put up a 40.75 to finish seventh,
Khareah Horton was eighth with a throw of 39.25, and
Campbell Corcoran finished 10
th with a toss of 37.91.
The 4x100 meter relay squad of
Mia Stewart,
Kaydence Strong,
Camaella Achuo, and
Ja'Marriah Powell posted a school record mark in the event with a run of 46.67 which was good for fifth in the meet.
Stewart set another school record with a leap of 5.59 in the long jump which placed her seventh in the event.
Latiana Gipson put up a school record throw of 42.82 meters, finishing second, while Berry and Horton added top 10 finishes.
Ashlen Clem turned in a second-place finish in the 1,500-meter run, putting up a time of 4:47.42 with
Anahi Machuca,
Devyn Doakes, and
Lauren Garza each posting top 10 finishes.
Southeastern will be back on the track April 1 when it travels to Austin, Texas, for the Texas Relays.
