HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – The Southeastern women's golf program sits in fourth on the leaderboard through 36 holes of play at the Battle for the Belt. The Savage Storm fired in rounds of 20-over 308 and 17-over 305 for a score of 37-over 613.

The top five through day one is led by four GAC teams, with Henderson State leading at 15-over 591. Harding finished the day in second with a score of 28-over 604, while SE turned in the next best score among GAC teams in fourth with a 37-over 613. Rounding out the top five, Arkansas-Monticello carded a 39-over 615.

Southeastern was led by
Karen Kim on day one, who shot 6-over 150 with four birdies across the 36 holes. Kim began the event with a 5-over 77 and later saw the best individual round by an SE member for the day, shooting 1-over 73 in the second.
Addison Oestreicher and
Carley Button would match each other, turning in a two-round score of 8-over 152. Both Oestreicher and Button shot 3-over par in the first round and 5-over 77 in the second, combining for nine birdies. Â Â

Kaeli Drake got the tournament going with a 9-over 81 and later improved in the second round with a 6-over 78, including an even-par back nine, to end the day 15-over 159. Similar to Drake,
Ally Richard saw her best play in round two, carding a 7-over 79, helping her to a day-one score of 20-over 164.
