DURANT, Okla. – For the second-straight week Southeastern will be defending the home turf of Paul Laird Field at Spend Life Wisely Stadium as it welcomes longtime, in-state rival Northwestern Oklahoma State for a 2 p.m. matchup on Oct. 18.

The Savage Storm will be looking to right the ship after back-to-back losses dropped the record to 2-4 heading into week seven of the season.

The Rangers come to town at 0-6 on the season and will be playing their second-straight road contest after falling at Henderson State 59-0.

SE and NWOSU will be squaring off for the 83
rd time and it is currently the third-longest played rivalry on the Savage Storm football schedule behind East Central and Southwestern Oklahoma State.

The first meeting was a 26-0 win by SE in 1914. The teams have met multiple times in every decade since, with the longest gap in the series coming between 1996 and 2006. The teams have met every season as GAC foes since 2012 with SE owning a 10-2 record in those matchups, including the current eight-game winning streak.

Southeastern heads into the weekend looking to continue leaning on its running game which has averaged 199.2 yards per game and helping it to control the ball to the tune of being the national leader in time of possession at 35:49 per game.

Quarterback
Levay Duncan leads that charge with 377 yards on the season and a touchdown rushing, while
Donovan Shannon is next in line with 249 yards and a score.

Duncan also leads the QB room with 608 yards and five touchdowns through the air.

Kobe Jenning has been the team's top target on the year with 12 catches for 273 yards and three scores.

Gabe Corona has also hauled in 12 catches and a TD, while
Matthew Nunez is next in line in yardage with 140 yards on nine grabs with a score.

William Wallis paces the defense in tackles with 38, including three for a loss, while
Andrew Grissom is right behind with 37, that also includes three tackles for loss as well as an interception and a forced fumble.
