DURANT, Okla. – After opening the season with a home victory, Southeastern will take to the road for the first time in 2025 to take on Ouachita Baptist in a Saturday night matchup at 7 p.m. at Cliff Harris Stadium in Arkadelphia, Ark.

The Savage Storm opened the season with a 44-13 win over Arkansas-Monticello in a game where the defense forced four turnovers and the offense piled up 423 yards of total offense.

Luke Hohenberger went 8-of-12 passing for 156 yards and a touchdown, while
Levay Duncan added a 3-of-6 passing performance with 49 yards and a score.

Chancy Lester led all rushers with 55 yards on six carries in the opener, while
DJ Brown, Jonathan Cobb, and Duncan each rushed for a score while the Storm racked up 207 yards on the ground combined.

Victor Taylor Jr. led all receivers with 109 yards on three catches with a score, while
Matthew Nunez hauled in a touchdown and finished with 56 yards on three receptions.

Defensively,
Andrew Grissom finished the night with eight stops, including one for a loss, while
De'Angelo Shanks added a sack and four tackles.

Trevion Butler forced and recovered a fumble, while Kamron Field and
Joseph Jones each had a pick.

Dylan Cox connected on both of his field goal attempts, including a long from 41 yards, while
Dane Casselberry added a field goal as well.

Ouachita Baptist enters the weekend at 0-1 after a 24-22 upset loss on the road against East Central in the season opener.

OBU is led by Lyric Tredwell on the ground with 108 yards on six carries with a touchdown as the Tigers picked up 289 yards rushing versus ECU.

Nate TenBarge rushed for a score and completed 8-of-22 passes for 82 yards.

Thursday's matchup with Ouachita marks the 61st meeting between the programs and the 14th as members of the GAC. The first meeting came in 1913, a scoreless tie. The teams have met up in every decade since, with the longest continuous stretch coming between 1976 and 1999. The Tigers hold the edge in the series by a 37-19-4 mark and are 10-3 versus SE in GAC play.
