DURANT, Okla.  – Southeastern pushed its win total into double-digits with a sweep of its weekend action, first picking up a 9-0 win over Collin County CC at the Southeastern Tennis Complex, followed by a 5-4 road win over Emporia State in Emporia, Kan.

The wins lift the Savage Storm to 10-4 on the season heading into a March 31 matchup against Great American Conference foe Ouachita Baptist at the SE Tennis Complex.

SE fell at number one doubles against the Hornets on Sunday, but the duo of
Darija Catipovic and
Conchi Assiego picked up an 8-4 win at number two to even the match.

That was followed by an 8-02 win by
Milena Vitez and
Ilga Racika-Racko at three doubles to give the Storm a 2-1 lead.

ESU would answer with wins at one and two singles to briefly regain the lead at 3-2.

Catipovic would find the answer first at number three singles and pick up a 6-1, 6-0 win to tie the match at 3-3, with
Maria Martinez giving the team a 4-3 lead with a 6-1, 6-0 win at number four.

Assiego would clinch the match with a 6-3, 6-2 win at number five, with ESU taking number six to make the final score 5-4.

The Storm put on one of its most dominant outings on Friday in a 9-0 win over CCCC where it dropped a total of four points while sweeping doubles play.

Alexsandra Reljic and Martinez teamed up at one for an 8-1 win, followed by Assiego and Catipovic picking up an 8-0 win at number two.

Vitez and Racika-Racko rounded out the doubles sweep with an 8-3 win at number three.

The dominance carried into singles play where five of the six singles matches were won in straight sets.

Reljic cruised at number one to a 6-0, 6-0 win, with Racika-Racko following suit at number two with a 6-3, 6-3 win to clinch the match.

Catipovic added a 6-0, 6-0 win of her own at number three, with Martinez pushing the lead to 7-0 with a 6-1, 6-0 win at number four singles.

Vitez would persevere in the day's closest match with a 4-6, 6-3, 10-4 win at number five, while Assiego rounded out the match sweep with a 6-0, 6-0 win at number six.
