DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern had a busy weekend after picking up a 9-0 victory over Collin County CC on senior day it jumped right back into conference play and picked up 6-3 wins over Arkansas Tech and Henderson State.

The wins lift the Savage Storm to 10-3 on the season and 5-1 on Great American Conference play as they are enjoying an eight-match winning streak and will finish out conference play with a 2 p.m. matchup against rival East Central on April 12 at 2 p.m. in Ada, Okla.

The match was senior day for
Ilga Racika-Racko who was playing in her second-0to-last home match as a member of the Storm.

SE was overpowering in its win over CCCC, with
Alexsandra Reljic and
Darija Catipovic pulling out an 8-6 win at one doubles.

The remaining doubles matches were not as close as Franzi Rishtsfeld and
Anna Buiukian teamed up for an 8-1 win at number two and Racika-Racko partnered with
Milena Vitez for an 8-4 victory at the three spot.

Buiukian had to gut out a win at the one singles position, going 7-6, 7-6, for a 4-0 lead, but it was all downhill from there.
Â
Reljic would add a 6-4, 6-4 win at number two to officially clinch the match at 5-0.

Catipovic followed with a 6-1, 6-0 win at number three and
Maria Martinez added a 6-1, 6-0 win at four to stretch the lead to 7-0.

Richtsfeld and
Conchi Assiego turned in matching 6-0, 6-0 wins at number five and six respectively to round out the sweep.

Jumping back into GAC play the Storm got off to a good start with a 2-1 lead after doubles against ATU, first with Reljic and Catipovic taking the one doubles by an 8-1 score and Buiukian and Richtsfeld following with an 8-5 win at two.

The Golden Suns would briefly tie the match at 2-2 with a win at one singles, but Reljic would pull out a 6-1, 6-3 win at number two to regain the lead 3-2.

Catipovic would pick up a 7-5, 6-7, 6-4 win at number three to stretch the lead to 4-2, while Martinez would clinch he match with a 6-4, 6-2 win at number four.

Richtsfeld would round out the SE wins with a 6-1, 6-1 win at number five to take a 6-2 lead and the final would hold at 6-3.

Two days later the Storm was back on the court against HSU and again jumped ahead 2-1 in doubles play.

First Richtsfeld and Buiukian scored an 8-1 win at two doubles, followed by an 8-2 win at number three by Assiego and Martinez.

The match was back and forth early as the Reddies tied it with a win at number one before Reljic followed up with a 6-0, 6-0 win at number two to regain the lead at 3-2.

HSU would score another win at three to even the match at 3-3, but Martinez answered with a 6-4, 6-0 win at number four to regain the lead and trigger a streak as Richtsfeld followed with a 6-4, 6-1 win at number five and Racika-Racko added a 6-2, 6-2 win at number six to fashion he 6-3 final score.
