DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern will make the hour-long trip north to Ada, Okla., on Oct. 1 for a 6:30 p.m. matchup with arch-rival East Central.

The Savage Storm come into the contest at 0-3 in the Great American Conference and 1-11 overall after opening the conference slate with three of the top-ranked teams in the league.

Both teams are seeking their first league win of the year as ECU is 1-15 overall and 0-3 in GAC play.

Despite its record, Southeastern has taken its last two opponents, one the preseason favorite to win the league, beyond three sets and that performance was behind a push by
Malaysia Burns who has turned in 28 kills over her last two matches, averaging 3.5 kills per set.

Caroline Griffith leads the offense overall on the season and posted 19 kills over the last two matches herself, while five Storm players are averaging more than two kills per set each.

Jodi Dixon is handing out 7.47 assists per set overall on the year, but is above that average over the last two outings at 8.38 assists per set.

Defensively,
Caitlin Cosby continues to dominate on the back row with 5.14 digs per set which ranks tops in the GAC, while turning in 44 combined over the last two matches which averages to 5.5 per set.

Griffith has picked up her pace defensively at the net and leads the Storm with 20 total blocks, compiling seven of them over the last week of competition.

The Tigers have a trio of players averaging better than two kills per set, led by Taylor Greenamayer with 2.38 kps, while Sydney Dungen has handed out 7.02 assists per set.

Kasey Beeler leads the team on the back row with 4.06 digs per set, while Kellie Smith paces the club at the net with 29 total blocks.
