SEARCY, Ark. – The Southeastern Oklahoma State women's team captured two singles flight wins and a pair of doubles flight victories at the GAC Individual Championships.
Jou Chen Chen earned three singles wins across the two days and would secure a Flight 4, defeating Harding's Sofia Sarmiento in three sets, 1-6, 6-3 and 10-5. The senior began the tournament with a two-set win over Henderson State's Angela Dorado, 6-2 and 6-4, before earning another two-set win in the semifinals, 7-4 and 6-4, over Southern Arkansas's Roksana Kokcha.
After seeing a first-round bye,
Amishi Shukla won two consecutive matches to earn a Flight 5 win. The sophomore picked up a semifinal win against SAU's Camila Corrales 7-6 and 10-6 before defeating HSU's Adiya Abdugappar 7-5, 1-6 and 10-6.

Carol Mora had a first round and would earn a semifinal win, defeating HSU's duo of Kristina Kozlova and Jenna Bohnert 6-2. The pair followed that with a 6-4 victory against SAU's Amelie Gindl and Maria Fiacan in the Flight 1 finals.
Larissa Giraldi Correa and
Sara Gonzalez clinched a Flight 2 finals win after taking down a pair of Muleriders in the finals match 6-2. The duo would see a 6-3 win against Arkansas Tech's Alfee Stevens and Elis Gergel in the semifinals.
Gonzalez made it to the finals of Flight 6 after a 6-3 and 6-2 win over Honoka Yoshimura from Southern Arkansas before falling in the finals 7-6 and 6-2. Mora would finish 1-1 with a consolation finals win in Flight 1, while
Milana Voloshyn also finished 1-1 with a win in the Flight 2 consolation finals.
Southeastern will break for the rest of the semester before resuming action again in the spring.
