DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern Oklahoma State takes a break from conference play to head to Edmond, Okla., to face Oklahoma Christian on Monday, Oct. 28, at 6 p.m.

SE (10-11, 6-5) bounced back last week, picking back-to-back sweeps at home against Arkansas-Monticello and Southern Arkansas. The Savage Storm took down UAM in three sets behind a red-hot attack that hit .364 for the match, while
D'Nari Mills helped SE to a win over the Muleriders with 21 kills.
Mills paced the attack for the week, recording 33 kills, bringing her to 320 for the year, averaging 3.90 per set, which leads the conference. The Cypress, Texas native's 21 kills against SAU matches her season-high total, having also seen 21 in the five-set win against Oklahoma Baptist.
Alexis Williams also provided a spark for the SE attack during the week, registering 14 kills over the two contests, including a high of nine against the Muleriders.
Michera Moffett moved into the Top 10 in blocks in the GAC after seeing 9.0 total blocks for the week. Moffett leads the team with 71.0 total blocks and ranks 10
th in the conference with 0.87 blocks per set. The Storm's defensive efforts over the week held UAM to a .099 attack percentage and Southern Arkansas to a .145 average.
Heading into the third meeting between Southeastern and Oklahoma Christian, the Eagles lead the series 2-0 after a five-set win last season. Mills notched a team-high 17 kills in that match, while
Ruthie Forson tallied 37 assists, and
Amaya Constantino had 18 digs. The two sides first met in Edmond back in 2022, in a contest the Eagles won 3-0.
PREVIEWING OKLAHOMA CHRISTIAN
The Eagles come into Monday's contest 15-8 overall and 5-5 in the Lone Star Conference, which has them tied for seventh in the league standings. OC recently picked up a 3-0 win over Midwestern State and has won six of its last seven matches. Among those six wins, Oklahoma Christian swept East Central in a midweek match last week.
The Oklahoma Christian attack ranks 12
th in the LSC with 12.56 kills per set and is led by freshman outside hitter Chloe Jones, who is averaging 3.15 kills a set. OC has one the best defenses at the net in the LSC, as they rank fourth with 2.14 blocks per set, with junior middle blocker Camryn McGough leading the way with 76.0 total blocks and 0.97 denials per set.
