DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern celebrated the 2023-24 sports season on Monday night with the 2024 Southeastern Choice award held at Choctaw Casino and Resort, recognizing a litany of honors including team MVP's, Scholar Athletes, and naming the finalists for the Male and Female Athletes of the Year.

The event was organized by the Student Athlete Advisory Committee and was emceed by SAAC president
Gracie Ore and vice-president
DJ Brown.

A total of 10 student-athletes were named as finalists for the Athlete of the Year honors, five women and five men.

Additionally, the SAAC recognized faculty and staff from around campus who have gone above and beyond in support of student-athletes, with this year's honorees including Director of Student Engagement David Penn and Assistant Director of Compliance and SAAC Advisor Alex Macy.Â
