PITTSBURG, Kan. –
Katlen Clem and
Madison Rowe each posted new school record, while Southeastern had four top 10 finishes on its way to a 15
th place team finish at the Rumble in the Jungle hosted by Pittsburg State in Pittsburg, Kan.

In the running events, Clem and Rowe led the way with a pair of new school records.

Clem broke through with a new school record in the mile run after posting a time of 5:25.68 which was good for an 18
th place finish out of the 59 total runners.

Rowe followed with another new record of her own three events later when she turned in a time of 58.30 in the 400 meter, beating her own previous best mark by 0.47 seconds and finishing 15
th in the stacked event in Pittsburg, Kan.

The 4x400 meter relay foursome of
Andria Williams,
Kaitlyn Cedillo,
Tailyn Higginbotham, and Rowe would post a top-10 finish, picking up two points for their eighth-place finish with a time of 4:04.87, the second-best 4x400 meter run for the Storm this season.

Tailyn Higginbotham posted a top-10 finish in the 600 yard, crossing in eighth to pick up a point for the team with a time of 1:29.97.

In the field events,
Samantha Wallis got her day started with a top-10 finish in the weight throw, posting an eighth-place finish and scoring a team point with a toss of 15.33 meters, her second best of the season.

She would follow up with an even better finish in the shot put, turning in her second-best throw of the season, finishing 6
th place with a throw of 12.71 meters.

Mildred Medina posted SE's best high jump of the season, clearing 1.48 meters on her way to a 17
th-place finish.
