DURANT, Okla. – For the third-straight Friday Southeastern track and field will be hitting the road, this time making a return trip to Norman, Okla, for the JD Martin Invitational on Jan. 31 hosted University of Oklahoma at the Mosier Indoor Track Facility.

Open Field events will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Friday morning, with open running events slated to begin at 9 a.m. The Invite portion of the event will begin at 3:30 p.m. for field events and 5 p.m. for running events/

The Savage Storm continued to rewrite the indoor track and field record book, with
Katlen Clem and
Madison Rowe each setting new school bests last time out in Pittsburg, Kan. At the Rumble in the Jungle.

Clem broke through with a new school record in the mile run after posting a time of 5:25.68 which was good for an 18th place finish out of the 59 total runners.

Rowe followed with another new record of her own three events later when she turned in a time of 58.30 in the 400 meter, beating her own previous best mark by 0.47 seconds and finishing 15th in the stacked event in Pittsburg, Kan.

Samantha Wallis would score points in both the shot put and the weight throw, finishing eighth and sixth, respectively, while Tailynn Higginbotham would score in the 600-yard run with an eighth-place finish.

Southeastern's 4x400 meter relay team of
Andria Williams,
Kaitlyn Cedillo, Higginbotham and Rowe also scored points with an eighth-place finish.

Through three meets for the Storm, 12 runners have posted top-10 times in the Great American Conference, while three are ranked top-five. In the field events, SE has seven more top-10 marks, with two of those being top-five as well.
