DURANT, Okla. – Following her efforts at the FasTrak Athletix Collegiate Challenge, Southeastern's
Samantha Wallis has earned Great American Conference Women's Field athlete of the Week honors.

The senior from Pottsboro, Texas, posted top-five finishes in both her events.

Wallis turned in a third-place throw in the shot put, tossing 13.55 meters which is a career-long for her and the fourth longest toss in SE's indoor history.

She followed it up with a fourth-place finish in the weight throw, logging a toss of 15.81 meters which is the second best of her career and fifth best in SE indoor history.

Wallis and Southeastern will be back in action Feb. 14-15 in Pittsburg, Kan., at the Russ Jewett Indoor Gorilla Classic.
