SEARCY, Ark. –
Mildred Medina,
Katlen Clem, and
Madison Rowe opened the 2o25 outdoor season with event championships to pace Southeastern in its season opening meet at the Harding Chick-fil-A Invitational in Searcy, Ark.

Mildred Medina picked up the first event championship of the outdoor season, doing so in the javelin where she posted a 31.64 meter toss to take the title and lead a group of five throwers from SE who finished in the top 10.

Emma Berry was next in line, finishing sixth with a throw of 27.32 meters, followed immediately by
Chanesse Chandler in seventh with a 26.96 meter throw,
Chanelle Chandler with a 26.58 meter throw, and
Savannah Sandoval in ninth with a 25.64 meter toss.

Katlen Clem picked up the first running event championship of the outdoor season, clocking a time of 11:36.19 in the 3,000 meter steeplechase, winning by nearly 20 seconds.

Madison Rowe picked up the third event title of the season, clocking 1:04.67 to take the top spot in the 400 meter hurdles, while
Keyana Brewer was behind her in second with a time of 1:09.31.

The Storm posted a second-place finish in the 4x100 meter relay as the foursome of Je'Mela Harris,
Andria Williams,
Jaiden Leighton, and
Ashton Carter turned in a time of 48.19, 0.05 seconds off the top time.

Brewer turned in a second place finish in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 15.42, while
Kelsey Sawyer finished ninth in the race with a time of 17.27.

Harris posted a third-place finish and led a group of four top-10 finishers in the 100 meters, turning in a time of 12.59. She was followed by Rowe in fifth with a 12.66, Leighton in sixth with a 12.69, while Williams rounded out the group in ninth with a mark of 12.76.

Clem followed up her event title with a third-place finish in the 800 meter with a run of 2:20.93, while
Ashlynn Barrett crossed in sixth with a run of 2:29.84.

Medina added a third-place finish in the high jump as she cleared 1.50 meters, finishing 0.1 meters off the top mark.

Leighton posted a fourth-place finish in the 200 meters with a run of 26.08, with Williams coming in sixth with a 26.26, while Harris crossed in 10
th with a 27.24.

Chanesse Chandler and
Chanelle Chandler each posted top-six finishes in the shot put, with Chanesse finishing fourth with a throw of 11.87 meters and Chanelle following with a toss of 10.78 meters.

La'Najah Ticey picked up a fourth place finish in the 400 meters after running a time of 1:01.38, while
Kaitlyn Cedillo crossed in eighth after clocking a time of 1:02.57. Ashlynn Barret rounded out the top-10 in the event with a run of 1:03.78.

Anjelika Abraham posted a fourth-place finish in the 3,000 meters with a run of 10:58.73, while
Devyn Doakes turned in a ninth-place finish with a time of 11:28.85 and
Calibre Keene was next in in 10
th with a time of 11:38.67.

Abraham posted a ninth-place finish in the 1,500 meters after turning in a time of 5:06.45.

On Friday night, the Storm put four in the top 10 of the hammer throw, led by
Kaitlyn Ervin's throw of 39.80 meters which was good for fifth.
Â
Chanesse Chandler was next in line with a throw of 38.80 meters to finish sixth, while
Emma Berry finished seventh with a throw of 38.18 meters.

Chanelle Chandler rounded out the group in 10
th with a throw of 34.84 meters.
