Emilia O'Neill earns her first Great American Conference Player of the Week honors this season after helping Southeastern to a 2-2 week.
The freshman from Pinamar, Argentina, picked up three singles wins and two doubles wins across four matches to finish 5-1 overall. O'Neill rotated between Court 1 and Court 2 in singles play, picking up one win from line one against Western New Mexico in straight sets and two wins at spot two versus Cameron's Adel Ismagulova in three sets and Trinity Ly from Delta State, 7-5, 6-3.
In doubles play, O'Neill partnered with
Lilly Shepard at Court 2 and finished 2-1 with wins against Cameron and Delta State. The duo's lone loss on the week came against Texas-Permian Basin in the final match.
This season, the Pinamar, Argentina, native holds a 14-4 overall singles record and a perfect 4-0 mark in dual matches, and she has a 10-3 doubles record.
Southeastern travels to Edmond, Okla., on February 27 and 28 to face Central Oklahoma and Angelo State in the UCO Invitational.
